Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
Tellcut ("we", "us") lets you create videos with Claude Opus 5.5, on this website and in the Tellcut app for iPhone. This policy explains what we collect when you use either, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, email contact@tellcut.app.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, also the name your account shares with us (and, with Google, your profile picture).
- Billing details. Website payments are handled by Stripe and app purchases by Apple. We never see or store your card number. We keep your plan, its status and renewal date, and the Stripe or App Store IDs needed to match payments to your account.
- Your videos. The descriptions, chat messages and video code of the videos you make, as described below.
- Images you upload. Screenshots, photos or other images you add to a video, and the outlines of the parts we find in them, as described below.
- App devices. If you allow notifications in the app, a push token for your device so we can tell you when a video is ready.
- Messages you send us. When you use the message button on the website, the email address you give us, your message, the page you sent it from and your IP address (to stop abuse). If you're signed in, it's linked to your account.
- Credit activity. A record of credits added to and used from your account, so we can show your balance and history.
- Session and security data. Your IP address and browser user agent, stored with your sign-in session to keep your account secure.
- Usage data. Which pages and app screens are viewed and which features are used (for example, starting a video, opening the plans, exporting), with the device type, OS version, screen size and language. It isn't tied to your account or to a device identifier, and we don't use it to follow you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your prompts and videos
When you generate or edit a video, your description, chosen options and the current video code are sent to our server and passed to the AI model to produce the result. Your description is also checked by an automated safety filter before anything is generated.
Images you upload
When you add an image, it's checked by an automated safety filter and then stored with your account. To suggest what can move, an AI model looks at it and finds its parts, and another model cuts those parts out so they can be animated. When you make or change a video from the image, the image goes to the AI model with your request; for a new video, frames of the result are also sent back to a model once to check for visual mistakes. Only you can open your images. An image you upload but never use in a video is deleted automatically after about a day; an image in a video is deleted when you delete the video or your account.
Only upload images you have the right to use. Don't upload images of other people without their permission.
So you don't lose your work, each video is saved to your account under My videos: your description, the chat with Opus about it, and the code of its versions (up to the latest 30). You can delete any video from My videos at any time, which removes it and all its versions from our database. MP4 files are created in your browser; when you export one, a copy is stored with that video so you can download it again from My videos, and it's deleted when you delete the video.
How we use your information
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To run generations and keep track of your credits.
- To process subscriptions and send receipts (Stripe sends these).
- To answer you when you contact us, by email or through the message button. We reply by email.
- To see which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve the website and the app.
We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site, our database, your uploaded images and your exported MP4 files, and sends our emails (sign-in links, billing emails, and the messages you send us through the message button).
- Stripe processes website payments and manages those subscriptions.
- Apple processes purchases made in the app, delivers notifications to it, and handles "Sign in with Apple".
- OpenRouter and Anthropic process your prompts, video code, uploaded images and frames of your videos to run Claude.
- Replicate runs the safety filter that checks your descriptions, edit requests and uploaded images, and the model that cuts out parts of your images.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose "Continue with Google", and measures website traffic with Google Analytics (on the website only, not in the app).
Usage data from the website and the app also goes to Umami, an analytics tool we run on our own server; it doesn't use cookies.
Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy terms. Some of them process data outside your country, including in the United States.
Cookies and browser storage
We use the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics sets its own cookies on the website to count visits. We don't use advertising cookies, and the app doesn't use cookies for analytics. We also use your browser's local storage to keep a copy of the video you're working on and a few interface preferences on your device. We clear it when you sign out.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details, credit history, saved videos and the images in them while your account is open. Uploaded images that never become part of a video are deleted after about a day. Videos you delete are removed right away. Messages you send us are kept so we can follow up on them; ask us and we'll delete them, and deleting your account deletes the ones linked to it. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it, except for billing records we must keep for tax and accounting reasons.
Your choices and rights
You can delete your account yourself from the account page on the website or in the app (Account → Delete account), which deletes your videos, images and credits right away. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account. Email contact@tellcut.app from the address on your account and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Tellcut isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let account holders know by email.
